The inaugural China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held from November 5th to 10th in Shanghai in which more than 3,000 businesses from over 130 countries and regions took part. During the expo, Shanghai International Commodity Auction hosted four online auctions dedicated for the merchandise on exhibition in cooperation with DONGHAO LANSHENG Group (DLG).
The four auctions (https://live.alltobid.com) covered more than 50 products from the Mongolian Pavilion, the Chilean Pavilion, Takashimaya Department Store and the International Caregiving Association of Japan. The PURA RAZA Merlot from the Chilean Pavilion was sold at RMB1,900 from the starting price of RMB198 after 27 rounds of bidding. Its premium rate reached 859.60%, the highest among all the lots. The PURA RAZA Cabernet Sauvignon started from the same RMB198 and reached RMB1,400 with a premium rate of 607.07%. Other lots including honey, koumiss and tea from Mongolia, pisco and dried sea weed from Chili, Nanbu Tekki ironware from Takashimaya and one-hour ticket for the Oxygen Box from the International Caregiving Association of Japan, also received positive feedback from the consumers.
It is a common practice to dispose exhibit merchandise by means of public and transparent auctions. Eight years ago, Shanghai International Commodity Auction also served as the designated auctioneer during the World Expo when properties left from the opening ceremony as well as licensed products were auctioned at a total amount of RMB74.396 million. The experience and standards enjoyed and adopted by Shanghai International Commodity Auction have long been accredited by the consignors and the public.
